The vision for the establishment of the school came as a result of the decline in the teaching of moral and spiritual values in present-day society, thus the need for a school that provides a serene atmosphere for the girl-child to develop and become a responsible adult. The school has since remained committed to the pursuance of this goal.
OBJECTIVES
Our primary objective as a school is to achieve moral and academic excellence, where the complete personal development of the student is paramount. Great Heights Academy provides the highest possible standards of Islamic and Western education together with moral background capable of giving the girl-child great opportunities for self-actualization.
Motivated by a team of highly dedicated and professional staff, the school education offers the children leadership qualities and the ability to contribute as responsible citizens, to the well-being of society as a whole.
RELIGION
Great Heights Academy is an institution founded on the idea of moulding and training a future generation of the Muslim Ummah. The school ensures students learn all they need to know about Islam and invariably how to live as good and true Muslims. Each day starts with Subhi prayer in the congregation led by the school Imam, after which there is a Qur’anic recitation session.
Throughout the day, the five obligatory prayers are said in the congregation at their appropriate times, at the call to prayer.
The school runs a model Islamiyya on Saturdays and Sundays where students are exposed to Tahfeez, Tarteel, Tajweed, Imla’i, Khat, Fiqh, Hadith and Arabic. These are in addition to Qur’an classes that are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening. The school equally has a strong viable Muslim Students Society (MSS) that is capable of equipping the students spiritually.
