It is located on a spacious 100-hectare property in the peaceful and serene town of Amaokwe-Achara Uturu in Isuikwuato Local Government Council of Abia State, with an additional campus in Umuahia that caters to the training of its pioneer clinical medical students.

To promote skills acquisition, all scholars of Gregory University Uturu are required to partake in a compulsory elective in entrepreneurial studies and practical training at any of the available university centers of enterprise. The university also encourages the acquisition of French as a second language and excellent leadership qualities by selecting scholar leaders from among students with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average.
